At 85 Main we have several options to accommodate your special event. We are happy to work with you to meet your needs.
Our private dining room will be available for seating when not booked for a private party. This newly renovated space features a warm and intimate room with hand built stone walls, beautiful wood floors, exposed wood rafters and colors chosen from a Tuscan palette. The room also features 3 aerial photographs by G. Leslie Sweetnam of Connecticut wineries. The gated wine cellar houses a collection of fine wines that are from many wine growing regions and are available by the bottle at a price you will not find in any other restaurant. Our bar has the perfect atmosphere to host a cocktail party coupled with passed or stationary appetizers. It is also the ideal prelude to a seated dinner party in The Cellar.
Our dining area is also available for dining reservations during non-peak hours. It has approximately a 25 person capacity, and is also an ideal way to extend a cocktail party from the bar.
Due to a small seating capacity, we only take reservations for parties of 5 or more; or if you have a very specific request for a special occasion. Please call ahead if you will be late or the number of people in your party changes, as this greatly affects our ability to service customers adequately. Reservations are held for 15 minutes before a table is turned over. Waits are generally minimal during peak hours, and the bar is available for drinks while you wait.
